My Student's Device is Not Loading

Learn common troubleshooting methods for student device issues.

When a student's device is having trouble accessing the Amplio platform or loading activities and content within the platform, it can be a result of many possibilities. The following list details troubleshooting methods you can run through to rule them out as a cause and hopefully resolve the issue.

1. Clear the browser's cache on the student device

Internet browsers store frequently accessed graphics and content for an application in something called a cache so that it is not newly loaded every time it is accessed. Sometimes, this cache can become stale and need to be refreshed, which is accomplished by clearing it in the device's browser settings. Click here to learn how to clear your browser's cache.

2. Make sure your browser is up to date

Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Amplio. It is important to make sure that the device is using the most up to date version. Click here to learn how to update your browser.

3. Make sure internet speed is sufficient

Amplio's minimum requirements list 15 Mb/s as the required download speed for a student device. If the speed is lower than this, the device can experience issues loading activities, content, and interacting within a session like enabling their webcam to videoconference for example. You can test a device's speed using tools such as Speed Test.
