Screener Exam

Brief summary of the Screener exam

Updated over a year ago

The Screener exam is the very first exam that you administer to your students once they are diagnosed with dyslexia and recommended for the Esperanza program. The Screener exam is divided into three subtests and determines which lesson your student begins with.

  • If the student receives a score of less than 90% on each subtest, then they start with Lesson 1.

  • If student receives a score of 90% or above on each subtest, then they start with Lesson 25.

Where can I find the Screener?

Look for the Screener exam parts in the Activity List. They are located in the General component filter, which is the default filter.

Select the plus icon to add the individual screener exam parts to the session playlist.

Just as with any activity, the instructions for administering the exam is located within the exam itself.

Tip: Write all your observations in the session notes to save them in the student's profile. To add notes during the session:

  1. Open the Student's profile

  2. Add to the session notes
